Recommended Tools & Resources
In order to effectively make showreel/ demo reel scenes, you will need certain tools, gear and resources. Below are the tools that I personally use, recommend, and show you how to use inside the course.

LIGHTING
Softbox Lights: These are the exact softboxes I use in my spare room. They run cool so they won't heat up a small space, and the light is perfect for green screen keying as well as just a general home background.
Wiz Smart Bulb: This is the cheapest option thet delivers great results, has a lot of different options, and also gives you "special effects" lighting
Philips Hue Smart Bulb: This is the more expensive option for a smart bulb, and yes it does offer more functionality. It is a great bulb, but it is not the one that I use. I use the Wiz above. But if top quality rather than price is your priority, then you can grab the Phillips Hue on Amazon.
Light Socket Extender: I use this to bring my smart bulb closer to the front of the soft box "tent" so that it is a more potent light.
Pixel G1s RGB Light (for Effects Lighting): This is a great "effects" light that can do:
CAMERA
Tripod (Amazon Basics): This is the same tripod I use. I actually own two of them. It is sturdy, hold a lot of weight, and can raise high enough for any angle you might need.
Phone Mount for Tripod: This phone mount is very versatile. Once you mount your phone, to use the camera for filming, you can easily switch between horizontal and vertical filming in seconds. I own two of them, once for my tripod and one for my teleprompter.
MICROPHONE
Lapel Microphone (BOYA): This is the mic that I personally use. It uses bluetooth, plugs durectly into your phone, and recharges using a standard USB-C socket.
AI TOOLS
OpenArt (Aggregator): OpenArt is a hub that allows you to access dozens of AI tools all within one platform, one dashboard and with one monthly subscription. I personally use OpenArt. NOTE that they are a little bit more expensive than using other tools directly, but you're paying for the convenience.
KlingAI is great for complicated camera moves that will add a lot of cinematic value to your scenes. Use THIS LINK or click the button opposite to get 50% more credits in your first month. This is not a free trial but does give you a lot of Free credits with whichever package you sign up with.

The "Everything" Concealer Palette: NYX Professional Makeup Conceal Correct Contour Palette - I love this because it has multiple shades. You can use the peach to hide dark circles and the skin tones for spots. Perfect for both men and women.
The Matte Lip Prep: Burt's Bees 100% Natural Origin Moisturising Lip Balm - Avoid anything "glossy." This keeps the lips looking natural and hydrated without the glare.
